Personal Project - Kitsune (2015)

Browsing through my old files, I found some 6 year old illustrations and concepts I've done for a personal project called 'Kitsune'.
I did not plan to go anywhere with it, neither wanted it to be a game or anything else but a story that tells itself while I am just doodling and drawing things. It always felt like a children's story for me, or some illustrated book for children with a young fox, who is dreaming of adventure, being called by invisible voices and one day, running away from his conservative family's burrow, to see the world. Along his path he was to meet lots of friends from different lands (owls, bears, hyenas, ferrets).
Parts of it feel like a mixture of Blacksad with Mount&Blade/Game of Thrones in a way, but I never really made any conscious choice or decision, since my aim was to have fun with it! (And boy did I enjoy making these)
